Greetings again my dear readers, in the previous articles we could describe the essential elements that compose the whole optical system of an SLR camera, among them we knew different types of lenses between convergent and divergent, also a flat mirror which reflects light to another optical component such as the pentaprism, the latter sending light rays to the viewfinder and from there to our eyes.

It is important to emphasize that the elements previously described have been improved thanks to the technological advances and the arrival of the development or generation of new materials, in addition new techniques of polishing and composition of materials for the generation of the diverse lenses, mirrors or prisms, therefore, with this optical system of an reflex camera we can see the object, body or space-time that we want to capture and this way to be able to focus it of the best way before photographing it.

In this opportunity we will relate to the moment of capture of the desired image on the photosensitive film if it is a traditional camera as seen in the gif at the beginning of this article, with this type of camera, the film or photosensitive surface is located in the so-called focal plane, remember that this focal plane is known as that area where the image is formed in a clear and visual quality.

As it is a digital camera it has a digital sensor that has a sensitive surface to capture light rays and thus the image, to follow with the camera of our gif image we can say that at the time of capturing the desired image, the shutter will be open and the plane mirror facing 45 ° fold, and thus allow the passage of rays that transport the image to the focal plane, where, is the film (photosensitive plate) or digital sensor depending on the case of the type of camera used.


From the description of the wonderful optical system of the reflex camera, we go to the moment of the capture of the image that we want to photograph and for it we must place in the focal plane of the above mentioned optical instrument to a certain element capable of capturing the rays of light at the moment of the shot of the above mentioned rays, this element could be a film or digital sensor, the important thing is that they possess a photosensitive surface.

With the present article in its fourth and last delivery we continue highlighting the great value of the influence of different technological applications in our lives, and as we know we can find them in any machine, tool or instrument created by man thanks to the essential link between science and technology.
